I. Introduction: Whole Number is very important in the career of Medical Billing and Coding. It is the building blocks of mathematics. Working with whole numbers help you when are adding and subtracting hundreds and thousands of dollars. Then you might have to round up numbers when you are counting money. Multiplying whole numbers are very important, it is a repeating of addition. You have to budget Money. Dividing whole number comes when you are multiplying whole numbers

First working with whole numbers is very important when working in the medical, right after you mention the information for the first time. It is important for you to know what place value of where numbers go when you are working in the medical billing field. This will help when you are writing checks for the insurance company.
Secondly as a medical billing coding technician you need to know how to add and subtract whole numbers. You would have to be able to add and subtract the patient bills and be able to use a calculator.
Thirdly you will have to also know how to multiply and divide in the field of Medical and billing coding. This is also important in this field because it you might have to multiply and divide the bills. As a medical biller you need to know how to process the billing, collecting and resolving
