Art can help a child with how to hand certain emotions. With art there is a lot of expression that goes into it. Not just creativity goes into artwork but emotions too. One of the cutest thing I remember from co teaching a second grade art class is this little boy drew a house. The house was red and the sky was black and I asked him why the sky was black. He responded "the sky is sad because it's dark out and he can't see his friend the sun". See little things children's pit emotions into. Children can have behavioral issues such as acting up in class hitting other kids and even just not listening. This could be cause by home issues, family issues or even just because they didn't get Lucky Charms for breakfast. What ever reason they can take their aggression out on art and it helps them understand what they are feeling. Art doesn't only help children understand what they are feeling but also show it's to other people. Art can show many of things it can show what a child is going through. Kids going through really tough times can take what they are feeling and do something with it. Turn the negative energy into positive and that way they don't get in trouble. Also every piece of art is original you can never have two sets of artwork look the same therefore it helps a child feel

Since the guardians did not emotionally connect to the children, the art was the only way they could understand the children. By forcing the children to do art, the guardians were preparing the children to be as normal and intellectually equivalent as the rest of society. “Involvement in the arts is associated with gains in math, reading, cognitive ability, critical thinking, and verbal skill. Arts learning can also improve motivation, concentration, confidence, and teamwork.” Although the children, technically, do not need…

I believe that Arts education is an important part of every student’s education for many reasons. If it were up to me I would make art and/or music a one semester class or if students wanted too, a full year mandatory class and is required for you to graduate high school. In elementary schools, art or music was a fun class with no homework and easy assignments; I didn’t know anyone who didn’t like those classes. Having to take these classes again in high school would be a good thing for most students because it would be time for you to relax or help you get all your thoughts together again. Another reason why I think Arts education is important is because it will help students creativity, perseverance, non verbal communication skills, or a…

Art is a very important tool for children in building many skills they will need to be successful and reach certain developmental milestones as they grow and mature. Thinking back, I remember the first time I took an art class. It is where my interest for art was nurtured and developed, and I loved getting to get messy with finger paints and learning how to mix my own colors. Of course, at the time I did not realize the important skills I was building while exploring my creative side. I was learning how to develop my own ideas, as well as my dexterity. Art was always fun for me, and I realize as an adult now just what an impact it placed…

Children are all unique and all learn in different ways. Some children learn by reading or listening to someone read to them. Some children learn better by visuals, while many children learn more by doing. Consider this, the more senses involved in the learning process, the greater the impression it makes and the longer it stays with us. Fauth (1990, p. 160) tells us we retain 10 percent of what we read; 20 percent of what we hear; 30 percent of what we see; 50 percent of what we hear and see at the same time; 70 percent of what we hear, see, and say; and 90 percent of what we hear, see, say, and do (acting out, dramatizing, dancing, painting, drawing, constructing). This is where music, movement, and art come in! According to Klein (1990, p. 27), teachers must think in terms of educating children….She insists: “If we want them to be healthy, active, creative, thinking citizens of a democratic society, who can make intelligent choices and decisions, then we have to have programs that encourage such behavior. We cannot just sit them down and talk at them. If we want children to be thinkers, problem solvers and decision makers, we have to give them opportunities to think, to identify and solve problems, and to make decisions.” By incorporating music, movement, and art into our classrooms we are giving children a better opportunity to learn in a different and fun way. (Pica, 2004)…

The school needs money for more useful things, not for kids to get caught up in something else and get distracted and fail their classes. Second, another reason the school should eliminate art and music programs is because art and music programs are not as important as actual course classes you have to take to pass high school. An art and music program only teaches you how to play music or draw. It interferes with your course classes. Art and music classes interfere with so many things in a school, such as, time, classes, and passing your grades.…

Art is important in our lives because it can improve our creativity skills, embrace neural connections, builds fine motor skills, and develops problem-solving skills. Art expresses your sense of beauty; discover the nature perception; for satisfaction or to promote emotions. In addition, art provides people with learning experience that enhances their minds, heart, and bodies. Art can send a powerful message and express deep truths or thoughts. For example, the 9/11 memorial and museum showed all the devastating losses of people which gave me the perspective that we live in a broken world.…
