Why Cats Are Better than Dogs
Why cats are better then dogs

I've always been a fan of felines. As far as pets go, you can't beat them! I have three myself, and I couldn't adore them more. I don't care what you say, cats are clearly better than dogs. I can't even list all the reasons here, so I'll just stick with my favorites.

First of all, cats are about a thousand times easier to care for. You don't have to walk them or bathe them because they're smart enough to figure out all that stuff on their own (unlike some other domestic mammals I don't care to mention). Plus, they have the common courtesy to do their business in the litter box, instead of all over your house and yard. Just one of the many reasons cats rule and dogs.

Second, cats have all sorts of personality! Take my cat Tigger for instance. He's a total ham, always jumping from chair to chair when there is no one there, with a look on his face like, "Hey, everybody! I'm sitting on your chair haha" And when they move him boy does he get pouty! Then there's coco, who's more chilled out and kind of does his own thing. (Sleep, eat, poop and pee)

Not to mention, cats are so much more independent than dogs. They can disappear for hours, having their own little adventures, and then pop up again just when you least expect it. It's like running into a long-lost friend on the street, but in your house! Meanwhile, those big, dumb slobbery dogs just plod around after you whether you want them to or not. They can't do anything for themselves. Unless it's eating your shoes!

I could go on for ages saying why cats and better then dogs. So why like dogs if cats are way better in so many different ways. Come onto my side with the rest of the cat lovers you will feel much better. Trust me!

There's a reason cats aren't called man's best friend – and it's all in their genes, according to a new study. Cats are simply not as domesticated as dogs despite sharing households with humans for at least 9,000 years, researchers at the Washington University School of Medicine have found. The reason is because they have been able to retain their hunting skills and ability to see well during the night-time. Cats were first domesticated in the Near East about 10,000 years ago. The modern domestic cat is descended from a wild ancestor called Felis silvestris lybica. All 600 million house cats in the world have been traced back to five females of this species. They lived in the forests before they moved into villages. Ancient Egyptians worshipped…

For the years that we have been living we all have come to realize that dogs are more trainable than cats. Canines have been trained to care for their owners, fetch news papers and some are trained as watch dogs for the blind. Others are close in social status to a Deputy – sometimes referred to as Deputy Dogs. This is pretty remarkable to think that we have dogs that are capable of recognizing and, attacking criminals, identifying drugs and placing criminals under arrest. In most cases we have dogs that are trained to be remarkable house dogs. Dogs have been trained over the years to perform entertaining tricks such as, roll over, fetch, shake hand and even play dead. There are many dogs which have developed bad habits. Special attention and training programs have been developed to assist dogs in shaking these bad habits. These bad habits include, biting, chewing on furniture and rugs, digging holes, barking consistently without apparent reason and most of all, house soiling. Cats on the other hand belong to the feline family and are not as trainable as dogs. There is just a significant limit to their training. Yes they are able to be home trained - to prevent house soiling, but to prevent them from damaging your furniture with their claws, you basically have to clip the claws. When cats are kept as pets, they become attached to their human…

I read the article “Cats are funnier than Dogs”, written by Jesse David Fox. In this article, Jesse gave an idea that cats are more humorous and explained her opinion. The “funny” or “humorous” is based on cat’s characteristics. Cat is more self-centered. Different from other pets or animals, they think themselves are nobler and not willing to be demeaned. Therefore, cats are not very willing to obey order like dogs and making choice brilliantly and cleverly. For instance, Jesse said cats knew how to run away by flushing the toilet. Comparing with cats, Dogs are more loyal, obedient and friendly. They more like you friends and even your part of family. Because they listen to you and actually care about you. I have two dogs and my sister have…

To begin with, the reason why cats are more desirable is: cats are independent and can be left unaided. Alex Libber’s article from December 10th, 2014 on petplace.com states,”But because a cat is more independent, they can be left alone for longer periods of time. Although a cat will miss you, she doesn’t depend on you to be home right at 5 p.m. for a walk. If you go for longer periods, your cat will do well with a house sitter, but she can also get by without someone feeding and checking up on her twice a day.” This shows cats are independent creatures and can be left home alone. Clearly, cats are perfectly well off being home alone, while dogs are not. Dogs need you or a house sitter to feed, walk, and take care of them.…

For years people have been disagreeing about which is better cats or dogs. I think dogs are a whole lot better. One reason I like dogs better is because dogs can work as service dogs. They are trained to assist people with physical disabilities. Tasks that service dogs can do are helping with pulling wheelchairs, opening doors, and picking up objects as small as a dime. Service dogs help the disabled. Service dogs work with people that have disabilities such as Diabetes, MS, Cancer, Autism and Epilepsy.…
