College can do a lot for some people, it can give you a career which then can support your family or just yourself. You will learn a lot from college, maybe make new friends. Your goals can be anything you want it to. "We can have the most dedicated teachers, the most supportive parents , the best schools in the world. More and more jobs require college degrees. Jobs requiring college degrees grew by 187,000 between December 2007 and January 2010. That's a big number and it's only gonna grow bigger. College graduates are more likely to have health insurance and retirement plans. I don't know about you but I can't wait until I retire. And going to college a can help you get there. Health insurance is also a good thing to have. People who do not go to college have a higher chance of not being employed. Young people not engaged in education or training are more likely to receive welfare or commit crimes.
