Why Did America Enter Ww2

I don't think the USA was better off for entering world war 1 for I think it cause the people of America more harm than good. When the US enter the war there was a lot of jobs unfilled because of the movement of men going Europe to fight the war. As a result manufacturers had to keep production up to support the war, this led to new technologies to help manufacturers meet the needs of the government and people. This also led African Americans and women to fill many needed jobs, this helped with the movement for the rights of both parties. During this time the economy boomed, but economic prosperity did not last long however, when the war ended many men returned home and industry began to slow. There was less need for workers and many women stopped working, but there still wasn't
This rise in unemployment planted the seeds of the coming Great Depression. America also didn't gain very much from the war. The US didn't gain any land or materials unlike France and Britain. What they did gain was respect as a superpower and a military force.
If America had not entered the war against the central powers the war might not have gone in the allies favor. America claimed neutrality very early in the conflict in Europe, but they used the term neutral very loosely. America gave Britain much more support with supplies then Germany, if they stayed truly neutral and help both the central powers as much as the allied powers or didn't help either, the allied powers might have been in trouble. World war 1, like many other wars, lasted much longer and costed more than either side expected.
