Why Did Ancient Rome Fall

Ancient Rome fell because the Empire grew too large. Firstly, Many lands were getting conquered and there was not enough money to spread through all of the lands equally. Too many groups of lands with people it was hard to sustain. Which made more expensive and they raised the taxes. When they raised the taxes for the Empire they did not tax the rich to honor loyalty with them. They tried to keep the wealthy stay on their side. Second, Roman soldiers could not defend all of the conquered lands. They could not control the Empire. There were too many lands for Rome to handle. This made food scarce (because of money) leading a terrifying drop 30% in the Roman population. Additionally, everything in Rome was very expensive. The poor (farmers) could
not pay the taxes and owed a debt or sold into slavery. ( It was not fair to the poor that the rich did not pay the taxes.) They raised the taxes to pay for the army. Furthermore, when farmers got sold into slavery or owed a debt they could not produce the food for Rome. There were fewer things to trade than people got starved (people were killed at this time.) Lastly, farmers did not produce the food with the animals because of poor leadership. The leaders only cared about themselves and people kept looking for new leaders (which meant they could not do a big impact for Rome.)
