Why Did Soto Wear The Jacket

Soto’s attitude toward wearing the jacket did make it worse than it really was.His attitude showed that he was angry that he received this type of jacket and frustrated at the colors and the length of it. He “stared at the jacket like an enemy”(paragraph 3). This made it worse because he was already not confident in the jacket and the way he looks in it he says “ i looked ugly” (paragraph 4) . So when peoples “ heads bob with laughter, their hands covering their mouth”( paragraph 6) he took of the jacket in the cold. He could have avoided all of that with a different attitude he was angry and frustrated with the jacket he received but he should have not let people see that.
