Why Did World War 2 Start
Why did World War 2 start? People think it was because of Hitler killing all of the Jews. But that is not the whole story. There are many other reasons why. The causes of World War 2 were the Treaty of Versailles, Hitler's childhood and beliefs, and the failure of appeasement.
One of the causes of World War 2 was the Treaty of Versailles. Germany lost their land as part of the settlement of World War One. Adolf Hitler believed he was supposed to be the ruler of the world and wanted to reclaim land for Germany. Once he had taken back the land that was stolen, Hitler continued to take more land that did not belong to Germany. He wanted to take over all of Europe (theweek.co.uk).

Why did Germany start World War I? They didn’t. The Big Four, Woodrow Wilson, David Lloyd George, Vittorio Orlando, and Georges Clemenceau weren’t justified in making Germany take the blame for WWI because Austria and Hungary were the countries who had started war with Russia, France and Serbia. Germany entered the war and fought for Austria and Hungary because they were bound by treaty, in fact Germany called a cease fire but Austria and Hungary kept battling.…

One of them being that Germany was frustrated over the Treaty of Versailles. Germany was upset that they had to follow unfair demands, including paying for all of the damages of World War I, lessening their armies, and limiting their military. In time, an aggressive ruler in Germany came to power named Adolf Hitler. Hitler felt that the outcome of the Treaty of Versailles was unfair, so he did the opposite of what the treaty stated and put all the money into building a stronger military. As time went on, Germany wanted to reunite their brother land (doc 1). Since other powerful countries feared the power of Hitler and his army, they gave into him, following the policy of appeasement. They agreed to the terms in which the “Big Four” gave Czechoslovakia over to Germany in order to resist war (doc 4). Hitler believed it was their right to the land because Germany owned it, post-World War I. In addition, at the start of World War II, most nations were in a worldwide depression. This state of depression, made it easier for aggressive and charismatic rulers to take control over weak nations. The people hoped the powerful rulers would help to fix and change the economy. Many of the great powers thought it was a good idea to give into appeasement. On the other hand, many disagreed and argued that by giving into one demand today would cause the nation to weaken “tomorrow” (doc…

Hitler started world war two because the treaty of versaille made germany pay money to other countries that fought in world war one. Remember capitalization! World war two was started by Hitler invading Poland and Britain along with France, which declared war on them. “Within a month, Poland was defeated by a combination of of German and Soviet forces…” Germany, France, and Britain kept going at it until the United States was sucked into it and still kept going at it until the horrific bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They all surrendered because they agreed to never use nuclear weapons again.…

Over the course of six years, more than 60 million people died in World War 2. No war was as devastating as this one. With as many losses as that, you must question the reasoning for it starting. Hitler took advantage of Germany feeling angry due to the Treaty of Versaille, and used historical anti-semitism to justify his horrific interpretation of Jews displayed in Mein Kampf, to create a lot of conflict that led to World War 2. Germany felt angered and wronged because of the Treaty of Versaille.…

World War One started for two main reasons: the alliances of Europe and many countries, and what really set off the war, the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. Franz Ferdinand was the crowned prince of Austria-Hungary who was sent to Serbia to keep peace between the countries. This happened on June 28th, 1914, and was murdered by a member of a group called the Black Hand, Gauvrillo Princip. Austria-Hungary wants revenge and will push what they call the July Ultimatum. This was a set of laws made by Austria-Hungary that said Serbians no longer had freedom of speech of Austria-Hungary, Serbia must remove their military from the Austria-Hungary border, all Black Hand members must be turned in, and lastly, all anti-Austria-Hungary members…

I believe that World War II began because Germany pushed their limits. Hitler used the abrupt limits of the Versailles Treaty to take over land where there were German speakers. By September of 1938, Germany had already successfully acquired Czechoslovakia and Austria. These two countries weren't enough for them. I think they were absolutely crazy for trying to push their luck any further. They had achieved something that was already so difficult. Doubling your money is always the risky choice.…

World War II started because of the Germans, Italy, and Japan wanting to expand their borders across the world. The European powers that did not agree with the vision of the Axis powers formed what we know today as the Allies. The Allies and Axis had many long battles. Ultimately leading up to the start of World War II was full of long lasting battles. Lots of those battles ended in a stale mate. The Allies were able to gain back most of the land that the Axis had claimed. Hitler, the Kaiser of Germany, proposed a plan to his generals. Most of the generals thought Hitler was out of his mind with this counter attack but Hitler had a goal “A unification of the individual German states and tribes or even the construction of a German Empire in the sense of a unified state.” Hitler’s goal was to bring Germany back to a world power. Bringing Germany back to power it once had would mean the control of Europe. After many long battle the Allies had the Germans backed up to a breaking point. The Germans then devised a plan for a counter attack. This counter attack would be known as the Ardennes where the Panzer armies were used to strike the Allied forces and halt their advances. The Ardennes, a forest between Belgium and Germany,…

There are several reasons why World War II began, but one specific cause of the war was politics. After World War I , Germany was placed in a state of depression because of the Treaty of Versailles. They were forced to pay reparations for the war. As a cause, the country had extreme poverty and a weak government. That’s when Adolf Hitler emerges and promised the people of Germany that he’ll lead them out of depression. Hitler was later announced ruler of Germany; he took abuse of his power and declared himself dictator of Germany. Everything went downhill from there.…
