1. Why did you decide to apply to be an RA? What do you think it takes to be a successful RA? What do you find most attractive about this position? What seems least attractive about it?
a. I always thought that being an RA would a fun job while in college, and after hearing the benefits and how much fun my friends had while working as an RA I figured I would apply! I think a successful RA must be friendly, fair, outgoing, and yet stern and firm when it come to rules. I love the idea of being able to help out other students, and as an RA I believe I would be a great source of campus information and advice for my residents. I think that I would bring a dedicated, friendly, and responsible employee to SouthGate. As a Pride Leader for my sorority with a demanding work and school schedule, I would bring solid time management skills, leadership, and creative problem solving, as well as a willingness to work as a team player.
3. What motivates you in life? What does it take for you to go the extra mile on a project or job?
a. My motivation in life is to be successful. I take pride in my work and enjoy seeing the results that come from quality work. I have always gone the extra mile in my schoolwork and customer service at work because I would want someone to do the same for me.
4. Why should SouthGate Campus Centre hire you as an RA? What extracurricular activities have you been involved in that will help you become a successful RA? How can lessons learned from these activities be applied to the RA position?
a. I believe I should be hired as an RA because I would be able to engage with my residents while still maintaining a role of leadership. I am extremely involved in my sorority, student government, and current job. I believe my roles as a pride leader, homecoming skit assistant, Vital Crew member, philanthropy committee member, and prom coordinator, have taught me how to manager my time and team members wisely. I have learned how to work in a team and how to resolve conflict, both of these skills will be helpful as an RA to get along my coworkers, and help residents/roommates settle their
