Why Do Homework Improve Learning Skills

Does homework really help students improve their learning skills like teachers say it does? Well according to my research 75% of students say homework does nothing but give stress & anxiety. Me personally I agree with the statistics homework does give stress, I just don’t approve homework. It just isn’t fair for us students, because we go to school eight hours a day to get our education and do work, why would we want to do more work after hours when we get home. According to another reading I’ve found out that most students do curriculum activities once they get out of school which are usually probably from 5:00 pm to maybe 8:00. And when you get home at around 4:45 every day you only have about twenty minutes to get ready to leave out again. There just isn’t enough time of day to have school for eight hours then spend another hour or two doing homework. Homework is very affect to
Also because it’s overwhelming having homework right after school, it makes you mentally tired. & the last reason would be because we don’t have time to socialize and relax with family and or friends when you get out of school at 4:15 and don’t make it home till 4:45 and still have to do homework. But when I think about it doing homework on weekdays does help my learning skills. I might not approve of it but I could never say it doesn’t help. I remember one year my fourth grade teacher telling me that homework is nothing more but extra practice. So in case you didn’t quit understand what you went over in school you get to practice it at home, or if you didn’t finish all the work given to you take it home. But besides that I don’t believe we should have homework. It just isn’t fair for us students after a long day at school. We should be able to come home and relax not worry about
