Why Do I Believe In America
I believe that if the actual citizens of the united states were to listen to us and hear all the immigrants have been through and what we’ve lost and what we’ve been through then maybe they will understand what it means for all of us to come to a country where there is hope for a better life. I do believe we’re all connected. I do believe in the power of prayer. I do believe in putting good out into the world. And I believe in taking care of each other. It’s true that most American citizens think of themselves as living in a democratic country. I believe in America because we have great dreams, and because we have the opportunity to make those dreams come …show more content…
I believe the most solemn duty of the American president is to protect the American people. If America shows uncertainty and weakness in this decade, the world will drift toward tragedy. I continue to believe that the America people have a love/hate relationship with inflation. They hate inflation but love everything that causes it. There are millions of Americans outside Washington who are tired of stale political arguments and are moving this country forward. We still believe in the America that is a land of opportunity and a beacon of freedom. We believe in the America that challenges each of us to be better and bigger than ourselves. I believe the American dream is still alive and that education and entrepreneurship together are its key enablers. Through the years I have observed the power of this combination when the two forces

    American Dream

The American Dream is something that prevails within us despite the inevitable rises and falls of the economy, it is a triumphant hope for progress and prosperity. Brandon King asserts in his essay “The American Dream: Dead, Alive, or on Hold?” that the American Dream is “more alive and important than ever” (573) but that its survival is dependent on the imperative support of large businesses and financial institutions to attain economic stability (575-579). I certainly agree with King that the Dream is very much alive, but our ideas about its continuity are in opposition. The resilience of the American Dream is not determined by the headway of big business. The Dream is, above all, reliant on the equality and unity of us, the American people.…

To be an American to me means that we are free and are so fortunate to even have many of things that we actually have. We are fortunate to have a government where they look out for every one of us, and try to do what is in the best interest of our country. Being an American is awesome because we have a society that is willing to help people who are not as fortunate as some of the others. America is willing to help us and let us make our own choices, choose members of our own government that is going to protect us, and coming together with other citizens to help out others and our country.…

America harbors a dream that is the very essence that defines us for who we are as a country, and separates us from any other nation in the world. It is the reason we are proud to call ourselves American, for we live the dream that others ache to experience. All around the globe, people clinging to their last strand of hope leave behind their homes and set out for America 's soil. Their safety is a small price to pay when the only dream they wish to accomplish is living out the American Dream; an opportunity they willingly risk their lives for. But the clock has timed out, and now students of our generation feel this chance of achieving a brighter future slipping from their grasp.…

The United States of America is a wonderful country where there is equal opportunities, rights and freedoms, and justice. America’s founding fathers like George Washington saw the potential of America being the greatest country of all. They created the constitution. The constitution created a stronger federal government and gave citizens rights. It wasn’t until 1865 that the United States Constitution ended slavery. America has prospered so much since then and now in the 21st century everyone wants to come to America where there is work and you can live a better life. Sometimes Americans take these rights for granted and end up in prison losing their right of freedom and close all their opportunities. Americans should cherish all their rights. I believe that an American is someone who has liberty, has opportunities to become successful, and can vote.…

America to me is Hope. Hope is what get us out of bed in the morning. We may have hard days but hope gets us through the day. Hope, is what pushes the caterpillar out of the cocoon to create something more beautiful. ‘’Hope is a horizon we head for leaving nothing but fear, And though we may never reach our goals it is hope that is going to save us from who we once were.’’…

Every person comes from a different background, meaning that not everyone will be handed the things they need to see their dream unfold. The America I believe in is a beautiful and fascinating place. It is full of so many people that every now and again need to build more places for people to work. But the only reason we have a great deal of people in America is for the cause of some people wanting to get away from the wars, to help their family while they are in need, to not have to worry about getting bombed every day, but to be free. They also come here to get jobs and go to school to learn how to get jobs. And to get the chance to actually believe in something other than an object or their rulers. And since we are in America, we don’t have to worry about that because we have the freedom to believe in who or what we want. We have the freedom to say or at least think what…

This change can be seen through illustrations of the ideal futures of various decades. From 1915 to the 1980s, the idea that anyone could achieve the “ultimate dream” stayed the same, while the ultimate dream itself changed from the want to make one’s own way in the world, to having a perfect family, and finally to having the most possessions. However, in recent years young people have stopped believing that anyone could achieve anything through hard work - although these Americans still have a dream of having a nice house, a family, and a job, this is a dream that is no longer uniquely American. The concept of being able to achieve anything by working hard and persevering, and the fact that this was actually possible in America, is what made the American dream so important. Today, the American Dream is mostly considered unattainable, and is now considered more of a historical concept than it is a modern…

Someone could ask me what me, “What does being an American mean to you?” Well up until now I haven’t put much thought to it. I don’t know much about being an American, what I do know is we have rights. As Americans we don’t have monarchy. We’re a free country; we have the choice to be able to vote for who we want running, not our lives but our country. To be an American is the greatest thing in the world to most people, having a voice, a place you won’t get punished for speaking freely, or thinking differently. America gives you tons of opportunities. We have a constitution that keeps everything in balance.…
