One of the main reasons that using electronics while driving is dangerous is that our brains are not capable of multitasking. According to Michael Fumento an attorney and journalist, “tests show that drivers' braking distances are much worse while texting than being legally drunk, and texting while driving is seventeen times more dangerous than talking on a cell phone.” A survey conducted in Car and Driver magazine tested out the difference of driving under the influence and driving while using a cell phone. The results are staggering, while driving at 70 mph the drunk driver stopped 4 feet beyond the baseline while the cell phone driver stopped 36 feet beyond the baseline. Both are not as favorable as driving with no distractions, but driving with the use of electronics is far worse than driving
