We are more now more aware of police brutality then back then since police brutality has always being happening. According to the police brutality infographic “Rapid growth in a video- enabled smartphones is largely responsible for the increase of police brutality, with more than 60% of Americans are now carrying a video enabled mobile devices”. Saying that we are now we are more aware of such a brutal crimes because we have a visual evidence of what is going.
In the article “why …show more content…
are police so violent?” the author states, “If not for a video the officer would have been believed on” tell us people that if we wouldn’t have evidence for us to that we might think there is nothing wrong happening. “If you listen to Eric Garner audio, he made some reference to ‘this happens every day, why are yall bothering me again?” In “Truth and consequence” Eric says that police brutality has always happen the reason that we are noticing more is because back then we did not have the ability to record a video in our cellphones. Social media has impacted us for what videos are online of many crimes of police brutality that are just wrong. People are opening their eyes recognizing what is really going on with police abuse towards citizens. We are more aware of police brutality because many of the cases we hear are based on footage or videos. Technology has grated us to see what police brutality has done to victims.
Many victims of police brutality cases are contradicted and unjustified. In the “Police Brutality Infographic” shows us “more than 10,000 complaints of police abuse were filled in Chicago only 19 were meaningful disciplinary action” So what happens to the other complaints? That is just in Chicago how imagine the other states. In the article “Truth and Consequence” the author says “Every time there is a police killing of an unarmed black man that goes unpunished, racism is rewarded.” This is true because if it would have been the opposite that a black men were to kill an unarmed white men the case would be full justified. Also in the article “Truth and Consequence” states the “resulting in too many deaths at the hands of armed police officers who claim they are afraid.” Is for them to not look like the bad one in the situation. The thinking of the jury would be different towards a black men getting killed by a white man. That many of the cases are ignored or the police wins the case. Only certain cases with police brutality will be judged correctly that is outraged. Many of the victims of police brutality are severely injured or killed. Every case of any police brutality the victim should be treated the equally and get full justice.
So many police have a different ways to get their job done by the right way or by the bad way by using force when not needed.
One officer says “feel that the only way a criminal would receive any punishment was to punish the individual him/herself” So he is telling us that any “criminal” should receive any kind of an abuse to be punish. I doesn’t matter who it is that is being arrested police have the right to any kind an abuse to do such anything to be punished. That is incorrect why would a police treat anybody in a way to harm when not needed. It’s a shame to see what police have done to innocent citizens. In the article “Why Are police so violent?” states the way police use “Broken windows” style of policing in which officers crack down aggressively on minor infractions”. Force shouldn’t be needed for minor infractions it’s a simple thing is just to arrest someone without causing any harm. In the “Police Brutality Infographic” shows us what police say towards police brutality “always following the rules is not compatible with getting the job done”. Why is it possible for this to be say by an officer who has to protect from bad when they’re the ones doing the opposite? In the article in “Truth of Consequence” “Police come up with the same narrative: I felt threatened, I felt afraid, the victim struggled with me, and he reached for my gun.” Which the jury would have never question because there is no such thing as evidence. That’s why is important for us to have set mind
of what is really happening to the unjustified cases that have a great outcome. Its matter of time that at the end something could be done to stop such a brutal thing that has been happening for the longest in our country. That one day everything should be treated equally without any damage. Everyone should open their eyes to something that has to have end and end to police brutality.
