In today’s world, having a job in the healthcare field is a very good idea. There will always be a demand. Someone will always go to the dentist to get their teeth cleaned. Dental hygienists clean teeth, examine patients for signs of oral diseases such as gingivitis, and provide other preventative dental care. They also educate patients on ways to improve and maintain good oral health. For anyone who can accept the cons, this can lead to a personally rewarding career.
To become a Dental Hygienist, you must go through Dental Assisting first. Unless, you go to a college where the Dental Hygienist program is 2 years long and they combine both programs. It takes 2 years to become a Dental Hygienist. Salaries for Dental Hygienist are very good.
