Why I Want To Be A Double-Major Essay

Thus far, my educational career can best be described as accelerated. During my last two years in high school, I was a student in the Trailblazer Collegiate Academy at the Metropolitan Community College. This program allowed me, as a junior and senior in high school, to take classes at the college level on nights, weekends, and during the summer in order to earn my associate in arts degree by the time I graduated high school. This spring, I was able to complete this program with my associate's degree while also graduating as valedictorian from my high school. This dedication to my schooling helps me to shorten the length of time that I will be in college for before starting my career.
I have chosen to follow my passion and pursue a degree in the field of law. I would like to either practice as a criminal defense lawyer or a family law attorney. Once I am more experienced in my field, I would like to open my own law firm which would practice multiple types of law or I would like to become a judge within my community. As a political science major, I will continue to learn about the United States and local governments which will follow me forward as I attend law school. Majoring in business allows me to be a versatile lawyer. I will have knowledge about finances and business operations which will aid me if I chose to become a criminal defense attorney. Once I open my own law firm, I will be able to employ what I learned from being a business major while operating my own business.
