Within this role, I construct and deliver “Inspire”, a program built for girls aged 13–16 meant to promote and facilitate discussion concerning body image, sexuality, identity, consent, and other issues commonly faced by high school aged students. I am also responsible for the facilitation of “Girls Taking Action,” an after-school program composed of high school girls delivering social action projects in their community. Through this work, I have had the ability to engage in self-directed, independent learning, and reflection in order to effectively prepare for program facilitation. This immersive work experience has prepared me to examine and enhance my comprehension on a variety of socioeconomic obstacles in different regions. While earning my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Political Science, I developed skills in analytical research, critical thinking, cultural competence, and self-awareness all of which have greatly benefitted me as a student and lifelong learner. However, during my first degree, I lacked adequate focus which is reflected in my academic performance. Since then, I have grown in my focus, maturity, and interests throughout my Bachelor of Education. This is apparent, not only in my current academic record, but also in the aptitude I have demonstrated in community building and communication skills, outlined above, that are imperative to working in International
