Why I Want To Go To Catholic University
I am interested in attending The Catholic University of America for multiple reasons. The first reason is because it is a Catholic university. I have been in Catholic school all my life and I want to continue that tradition. I am strong believer in the Catholic Church and I believe that I can strongly practice my faith at the Catholic University of America.

Another reason is because of its location. Since it is located in Washington DC, there is a lot of room for me to encounter many different opportunities. I also like how Catholic University has Catholic Ministry, Habitat for Humanity, Spanish Club, and Cheerleading. If I am admitted to the University, I will participate in all of those

Yale offers a great amount of assistance such as health professions advising, career advising, and tutoring which isn't something that all colleges usually prioritize so I genuinely appreciate it especially because I realize that being a pre-med student at any college will prove to be demanding and rigorous.…

Growing up Iranian American, I was greatly impacted by the opinions of my peers early on. Classmates would criticize my lunch or convey evident shock at the fact that I was Muslim, so I grew up feeling patronized for much of my early life. Eventually, I began surrounding myself with others who were also in my shoes, facing the discrimination that came along with being different. Over the years growing up surrounded in a fusion of cultures has made me appreciate the diversity that makes each culture so unique. Growing up traveling the world, learning multiple languages and being encouraged to accept all that cultures have to offer is something that is very beneficial in today’s global society and something that I will bring to SMU’s diverse campus. Should I be fortunate enough to attend SMU I will bring my open mind and worldly perspective to the learning environment and clubs on campus. Within the classroom I’d apply my background in my desire to study conflict within the Middle East and ways to resolve that.…

Why do I want to become a Lambda? I’ve asked this question to myself at least ten times. And every time I come up with a new answer. But there is something common among all those answers. It is the Brotherhood. For example, I attended the IG retreat in Tallahassee. I am aware that I am only a member of the interest group, but the brothers that attended the retreat made me feel different. I felt as if I am in the middle of a family. A family that cares and will always look out for me. They made sure that we had everything we wanted and we got home safe after the get together.…

The first ingredient is Towson’s diversity in campus life. I am impressed with the plethora of campus clubs including special interests and spirituality. The second ingredient is the marriage of research-based learning with hands-on application. I was thrilled to learn from the tour guide about the faculty-mentored research experiences which are student-centered. The third ingredient which helped make Towson University my first choice is its solid foundation in the liberal arts.…

Since a very young age I was being taught who Jesus was, was read bible stories, and have gone to church. As I grew older, I began to truly understand the things I had been taught and developed my own understanding of my Christian faith. I developed relationships with people within my church and youth group that I attended and was comfortable talking with them about my faith. Also, I have helped lead some of my friends whom did not grow up in a Christ centered environment to Christ. As I was starting my college search I decided that a Christian affiliated school is where I wanted to go. I wanted to be in an environment that could help me grow in my relationship with Christ, grow relationships with other people through Christ, and feel comfortable sharing my beliefs all while receiving a college education.…
