The first reason why I would rather like to live in Sparta because they had an excellent military. Every man had to work in the military. Sparta’s military was very powerful, unlike Athens. Everyone had freedom, but the women had way more rights than in Athens. Women were able to own property and start their own business. Who wants to have a boring life, just like in Athens, where for women life was usually spent at home and focused on family. Women in Sparta were mostly strong and able to handle things. Women were also usually in charge and had to supervise the city while the men were off at war. Women were powerful in Sparta!
The third and last reason why I would rather live in Sparta is because girls got to participate in sports such as running or throwing the javelin. Sparta girls also got a beneficial amount of education. They were taught by their mothers and other people. The Spartan’s believed that having the girls in sports would make them athletic and become better mothers.
Here are a few reasons why I would not like to live in Athens. First of all, Athens aren't very well protected. They live on the coastline so it is a lot easier to attack. Second of all, Women don’t have that many rights as Sparta. Men usually had all the rights. Third of all, the farmers struggled to pay their debts. And lastly, Athens had a horrible Army, but an OK
