Amelia Earhart was born on July 24, 1897, in Atchison, Kansas (source #2). Amelia was living with her grandparents since she was ten. She had a younger sister. Her dad's name was Edwin and her mom's name was Amy. Edwin was an alcoholic. Amy worked in the army (source #1). In 1915, Amy and Edwin separated. After Amelia caught on she bought her first plane it was a yellow Kinner airplane. In october 1922 it started to break records (source #4).Charles Lindbergh had a solo flight in in mined. But people wanted a women to fly across the Atlantic. Amelia received a call about her and if she wanted to fly over the Atlantic. In a snap she said yes (source #1). Five years after she flow as a passenger over the Atlantic, Amelia wanted to do it again but solo. She had a lot of historic flight.She was the first women to do it once and twice. She broke a record for longest flight and a record for the shortest time around the Atlantic ocean (source #4). She flue in races and exhibitions in her years. After,she was planning a trip around the world.She made a trip after trip she had to halt her broken equipment.She went to 3 other pleases. Take of was great (source#3). The first time she crashed. 2 years after the first try she tried to attempt it again. It was her and her copilot Fred they took of and take of was good (source#4). After take of they flew to San Juan, Puerto Rico, and then eastward toward Africa. They also flew to the Red sea, to Karachi, Pakistan,and to Calcutta,India. After that they continued to Rangoon,Bangkok, and Singapore,Darwin, and Australia. While they were flying they still were able to repair the plain (source #4).They had trouble flying over the Pacific and they landed in Hawaii and got some repairs. three days later they took of again (source#1). 1937 george putnam , Amelia's husband he was a naval experts and even psychic. he went out trying to find his wife out to look for her knowing that she was lost forever (source #1). All her distress calls were answered and when she did not answer that's when they knew that something happened (source #4).There was a large searched party tried it ended in July. They thot she drowned in water. Many people tried to explained. Rumor are that there plan ran out of gas (source#3). Other people think they swam to the island they crashed next to and survived for a couple of weeks (source #3). There are theories that say that her plan drowned and others it got captured by the Japanese others she got home safely (source#4). They tracked her destination were she crashed they found a bits of clothing and parts of her
