The people who lost their lives goes as follows Lt. Colonel Arthur A. Holland the pilot, Lt. Colonel Mark McGeehan co-pilot, Colonel Robert Wolf, and weapons system officer/ radar navigator Lt. Colonel Ken Huston. The day of the crash Holland was practicing for an upcoming air show that was going to take place to get the towns minds off the shooting that took place four days earlier that killed 5 and injured 22. Holland was a very skilled pilot and many pilots agreed according to Andy Brown the author of Warning Unheeded he talked to many pilots and said “Bud Holland, there is no question he was a skilled pilot a lot of pilots, I've read their statements, and they don't question his ability to fly, but they question his judgment, his airmanship, when it comes to safety,". In ethics this falls under norms he always would fly this reckless and is used to it and he has done crazy maneuvers like this plenty of times before and was even considered a living legend for his flying skills with the B-52. Was caused by someone that was too full of themselves, it was caused by pilot error. Another pilot killing his crew because of his personality and behavior. It was also caused from people failing to act and stop him from flying and or performing these crazy stunts. Out of all the people that witnessed his crazy stunts only a handful acted and tried to stop him and get him grounded into never flying again. Even though he was a rouge pilot and no one should fly with him people still did because he was considered a living legend and the best pilot out of all the B-52 pilots. Today this incident is used for pilots in telling them what not to do and how hazardous attitudes can hurt and kill people.
