The United States currently gives Israel $3.1 Billion dollars a year in support (Bowman and Bourassa). “Israeli military -- one of the most sophisticated in the world and the largest beneficiary of US foreign aid -- but by the relative status of Israel as an economic powerhouse next to the poverty of the Palestinians.” (Pearson). The aid money that goes to Israel most likely goes straight to the Israeli military who have because of this one of most sophisticated militaries in the region. In turn the Israeli military uses to fight off their poverty stricken neighbor's, Palestine. Instead of the United States assisting the poorer Palestinians, the US spends its money fighting them (Bowman and Bourassa).

unethical, the United States continues to pay little to no attention to it. “While Israeli actions in the Gaza Strip and West Bank have drawn universal condemnation, the American government continues to resolutely support Israel and blame Palestinian “Terrorists” for the harsh Israeli response.” (Bowman and Bourassa). The Palestinian group known as the Hamas are considered a terrorist organisation due to them trying to keep their lands. During 2006 many Palestinians voted in an election to determine the political wing of the Hamas. Since the United States and many other western powers support the Israeli claim to Palestine, the results of the election were considered null to the major world powers (Bowman and Bourassa). “The US government did not protest any of the Israeli tactics against the Palestinians.” (Bowman and Bourassa). When the Israelis use harsh tactics against the Palestinians the United States does little in response. When the Israeli wall started to separate the Israelis from more possible attacks from the Palestinians many innocent Palestinians were left homeless and without jobs. “These actions, combined with extensive, arbitrary and humiliating checkpoints, nearly shut down the Palestinian economy.” (Bowman and Bourassa). The United States did not protest this wall that separated families, instead the United States supported these actions used against Israel.
“Israel has been a strong supporter of the US war on terror and occupies a strategically important position for gathering information and intelligence about the development of terrorist organisations.” (Issitt and Montanee-Muhinda).
With Israel being one of the if not only democracy in the Middle East the United States should protect it to keep the influence of democracy in the Middle East (Issitt and Montanee-Muhinda). Israel currently has the strongest right to the Palestinian territory due to its ancient ties with the lands. That territory being on the foundation of the ancient kingdom of Israel. This claim is backed up by multiple texts including the Bible and many other religious texts (Bowman and
Bourassa).
The United States is infact biased towards the country of Israel. What the United States can do is it can hold peace conferences in neutral territories. If the conferences were to be held in Israeli or Palestinian territory the visiting people would feel that conferences are biased. What can also happen is that the United States should send some of the $3.1 billion dollars to assist the Palestinians, instead of almost all of the money going straight towards the Israeli military. These are but a few things the United States should do in order to stop appearing biased towards Israel.
