Why Is Juanes A Hero
A real life hero
When people hear the word hero, commonly think that is a person from a movie or from a cartoon, maybe someone with leggings or something like that. A hero ‘‘has superhuman abilities or characteristics of personality idealized or fantastic that allow him/her to do extraordinary and positives deeds by which the hero becomes famous’’ (Heroe). Personally I didn’t think a hero could exist in real life, but when I started to think what a hero is for me; I realized that I was wrong. A hero should be self-assured, altruistic, hard worker, should inspire trust and should have moral values. He send his message of peace in his songs, he has a great humanitarian activism and the one that I admire the most, is how he goes proudly of his country, his family and his language, without envying …show more content…
He has released four albums and has like 12 or 13 songs with a good message in the lyrics; it means that at least each album has 3 songs with a very good content. He could write only about love; people like it and it sells, but he chose to write in some of his songs about the bad things that are happening in the world beacuse he people act like if that things weren´t happening. A song named ‘‘¿Qué pasa?’’ (In English: What happen?) deals about world's problems, those that day after day are in the news, about the war, the lack of love, also tells us how the people are dying, and he asked what´s happening with us? Why we don’t do anything to change it? Another thing that is very present in his songs is the problem that many countries have landmines in areas where people live, so anybody could be a victim of a landmine. Juanes wants to help the victims of landmines and help to take away the landmines. A song named ‘‘Minas Piedras’’ (in English: Stones Mines) has a phrase that says ‘‘the sea is brown, mixture of blood with the ground’’.
