Caesar’s vision was to be the dictator of Rome. Now being a dictator does not automatically make you bad and such an ambitious goal is not handed to one easily either. Caesar knew that in order to become a great dictator, he needed power and respect. Thus he rose in ranks of the Roman government by conquering great tribes and fought on foot with his soldiers, earning their respect. He constantly outwitted his enemies, which earned him his reputation of a powerful general. Most people would be contempt with this position, but not Caesar. Caesar kept pushing his limits for Rome and its people until he got the position of ruler. That is what I like about him; his ambition. Not many historic leaders have the ambition that Caesar had. His ambitious behavior led to many doors being opened for the nation Rome and himself.
