Michael brought a whole different dimension to the music world, to showing people that being different is cool, and to do what you do not what someone else does. I’ve always heard that Michael Jackson was crucial to the music industry. Why was MJ so important? There are many things that inflict on how he was important. Probably the most relevant was that Michael was known for the different ways Wacko Jacko dressed, his particular dancing (the moonwalk), that he did things his way. He was a strong person and wasn’t afraid of anyone criticizing him. Here’s what Michael said about himself, “I’m happy to be alive, I’m happy to be who I am” (Michael Jackson). This was shown through him in a dramatic way that there was/is even a party called “MJ dance parties” (People loved his dancing).
