The first point of how Shakespeare's plays are still relevant, is how love sometimes makes people choose bad decisions. In The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, Romeo drinks the poison because he thinks Juliet is dead and does not want to live without her. Romeo's love for Juliet made him make a bad decisions because Juliet had simply drunk a sleeping potion. This relates to today's relationships because someone may move in with their boyfriend or girlfriend or invest money with them, when it may just be a temporary relationship. “Here’s to my love!
