Why Is Soccer Important To Me
Sweat poured down my face as I sprinted. Two enormous defenders ready to attack me like savage beasts awaited. My heart slowed down as I realized my destiny depended upon my next move. As I tried to compose my next move, the world slowed down and everything was completely muted. I had two options; get tackled and get the ball taken away or make a swift choice and get through both of them. I made a split second decision that secured my fate. Moving impulsively and trying to make it look as realistic as possible, I thrusted to the right and then immediately cut to the left as the ball passed right between them . The traditional black and white ball moved with me as if we were attracted to my foot like a magnet. I drew my right leg back as though …show more content…
I was born with the passion for soccer. At the age of two I was already wearing my first soccer jersey and had started running around the house with a ball falling every couple seconds. I would trip over the ball and start crying and would get up right after and repeat the same procedure over and over. I started playing on a team when I was five years old and ever since have kept playing. The intensity and aggression of the game calls my attention and just having a ball at my feet makes me forget about everything else going on in the world. Soccer is a sport which takes skill and determination to get better. I consider my dad my coach. I turn to him whenever I need help improving my skills. He has never given up on me and always has the time to take me to my practices and games. Those forty five minute rides to practice and games even after he has had a long tiring day at work will never go unappreciated. I have the same dream he once had when he was younger and one day I want to make him proud and make him know that all those long tiring rides will be worth it. He continues to push me to do the best of my ability in both soccer and school. He has never missed a single game and is always the loudest parent in the stands when I score. I relate a soccer game to my life. If I go through it feeling defeated and alone, I will never reach my goals and

This may cause other worker to be less productive due to a lack of motivation and demoralization. This can set other things behind and disrupt daily activities for a smooth work environment. It also gives the impression that the worker who has failed to show up to work on time doesn’t think his job is very important. Your boss may see you tardiness as a lack of motivation to progress in your occupation and pass over when the time comes for promotion. Motivation is very important because it shows that you want to be in your workplace and you have the drive necessary to progress. Also, on the military side, soldiers can face negative actions under article 86 of the Uniformed Code of Military Justice. This can lead to forfeiture of pay and even separation from the military. Adding to that, being late while you are in a combat situation can lead to missions being pushed back or even injury and death of other soldiers of your unit. The negative consequences on the civilian side are just as bad. You can be charged vacation/ sick days and even be fired for neglecting to be to work in a timely manner.
