Because it is so important, it is hard to imagone the job of hurricane hunting came from a pilot simply trying to prove the structural integrity of his plane. It was on July 27, 1943, when news of an approaching tropical storm gave Colonel Joe Duckworth an idea (Paragraph 1, Weather Reconnaissance). The exploration of shipwrecks only requires diving gear, and over time the job of hurricane hunting has not advanced since it's starting. However, the magnitude of difference it makes on discovering the ruins of ancient civilizations when you are able to fly over an area and simply get images through infared light has completely changed the field. Not onlt is it technologically more advanced than the other two, it has also advanced further than the other two. Some might say that exploring the oceans, finding shipwrecks, and discovering the artifacts within is more complicated, but the amount of advancement required to get to this point in the exploration of ancient civilizations is huge.
