My grandma was just a little girl during the Cold War and her and her family made home shelters and they lived there for a while and when it was over her and her family moved back into their own house where they lived for a while and when she was old enough she moved to the United States where she started a new family and where my mother was born and my aunts and then she got married. Truman . He was the 33rd president of the United States. He joined the Army in 1917. Then, on December 26,1972 Harry S. Truman died in Kansas City, MO at the age of 88. He was originally a County judge He went from being a County judge to deciding to use the atomic bomb warfare at World War II end. He was a good president he favored different things than President Kennedy because he favored Policy of Containment and so did President Eisenhower they both favored it (Ayers R94). President Truman and Eisenhower were a lot alike and had many things in common. They both had something to do with dropping the atomic bomb. Both men were strong leaders, equipped to deal with tough decisions from the dropping of the atomic bomb in Japan.
