“When I shoot I think it’s so much more fun than playing with anything else that’s in my room.”
Said 7 year old Vanessa Aguilar. People claim that kids shouldn’t shoot guns, and that learning young isn’t helping at all. But actually kids who learn younger are actually more responsible and respectful with and towards guns.
I believe kids who learn younger actually keep their learnings with them, if I’m honest I probably shot my first gun when I was 5, I had my father there and it was completely fine, I loved it and a lot of kids will feel the same.
Starting gun safety at a younger age would be better bet. A lot happens in a good shooting class before a kid touches a gun. The first class often involves nothing but drilling and …show more content…
rules.
This will teach them that if they break at least one rule then straight back to drilling and rules they go. That was my first paragraph let move to the second.
Shooting a gun can help kids concentrate and use their brains.
Children must slow their breathing and tune into the beat of their hearts to be able to squeeze the trigger at precisely just the right moment. This supports my reason on how kids learn to slow down and concentrate. It takes a lot of e ff ort to look through an aim guard and see the right spot, then trying to hit the spot is just a lot. This was my second reason why so let’s move into the next reason. Believe it or not, you never know when you have to use them. It could be just threatening someone if they harm you, or just know how to shoot when their old enough to hunt. This supports that kids should have them and know how to use them for big emergencies because all this stu ff nowadays you never really know. Guns can actually be a lot of fun, but only if you use them correctly.
Some people say, “If guns can’t be handled by adults, what makes you think kids can handle them?” Under proper instruction shooting is a ritual. You do this for this reason and that for that reason, and you never, ever, alter the process, because doing so is a matter of life or death. Learning to slow down and go through such essential steps can be
valuable developmentally. Kids should only get their guns when they are ready, those teens who used them in very, very wrong ways were not ready. People become ready at di ff erent stages.
This essay showed you that kids should be able to shoot guns, but should also know how. Kids will feel more free if you let them shoot, there are gun ranges everywhere, there is probably one really close to you. Thanks your children out and let them shoot empty soda
cans.
