School Shooting Approximately two years and ten months ago a massacre happened in Newtown, Connecticut. December 15, 2012, a man dressed in a military vest and heavily armed walked into a Connecticut elementary school and opened fire. Within minutes, 26 people were dead, 20 of them were children. School shooting has increased dramatically over the years, and some of this shootings is because of the discipline in parenting, media, and bullying. One cause of school shooting is the discipline in parenting. Nowadays, a lot of parents have guns on their house, however, they are not aware of the danger of having a gun with the wrong discipline by the parents. For example, a child might see his father cleaning his gun or having it on his hand. This gives the child a different perspective of the use of guns, and they believe they are not as dangerous as they are told. There have been many cases where children carry gun from family member to school. In addition, in most families both father and mother work. This may not sound extremely important, but when it comes to education children don’t receive the same discipline by their parents when they are working all day.
