Why My Parents Went To California During Spring Break
During Spring Break everyone is usually flying or driving out to for vacation.I usually go to Florida or last year I went to Arizona, but this year I did nothing. The reason why is that my parents gave me a choice and that was to go to Florida for Spring Break or do nothing and go to California in the summer. I obviously wanted to do something different so I picked California so that means I stayed home during spring break so here is what I did during that week.First, my sister came home to visit from college as she is in Bowling Green and does not need to do a ton of driving. It is still great to see my sister and finally hang out with her. After my sister came home and went with my mom to do something I went out to hits some golf balls with

I didn’t really do much over the summer. We went to Indiana beach, and I am not too fond of roller coasters, or any ride for that matter, except for at water parks. Last year in 7th grade we went to Washington D.C and saw the washington monument, lincoln memorial, we went inside the Capitol building, The Changing of the Guard at Arlington cemetery, saw The White House. That didn’t really interest me, I don’t even have any souvenirs! Even earlier in the year, we went to Buffalo, New York. We saw a football game (the team we were rooting for lost,(TO THE JETS!) and we got to see Niagara Falls.…

My Thanksgiving break was pretty good. On Thanksgiving, I went to Indiana to my cousins' house. It was a two-hour drive, so it wasn't that long. All of my cousins are older than me- literally, all of my cousins even from I don't know where. The only people younger than me are my siblings so I'm not the youngest of ALL the people. Anyways, we had eaten all of the thanksgiving things you can possibly eat. I loved thanksgiving this year and I can't wait next year.…

The feel of 80 degree temperature, the sound of splashing water, and a super long car ride? Everything but the car ride was awesome! On my spring break this year we took a very long and boring car trip down to Arizona. It was a 18+ hour car trip just going there! I mostly slept and read the way there. First, we visited Arizona state and Arizona University. Then, we stayed at my Grandma and Grandpa’s house. But, what I mostly liked about my spring break was in Arizona there was 80-90 degree temperatures!…

In the past, our family normally makes plans to go on a trip. So this year we decided to travel to Washington D.C. with my grandparents. My parents told us at around Christmas time and said that we were supposed to leave during spring break. I couldn’t wait! We were going all the way down to Washington D.C.! There were a couple of requirements though. For example, we had to keep the whole house spotless without anything on the floors, and we had to stay out of trouble. It was a little struggling for a while, but it was soon over.…

My Thanksgiving vacation could have been more enjoyable. I did a lot of working over break. Starting from the beginning, on Tuesday after we got let out of school, I drove all the way down to Des Moines because I had to work. I work at the Des Moines Buccaneers Hockey Arena, it’s a USHL hockey league that boys from ages 16-19 play in while trying to get scholarships to colleges they are signed to. My sister Kaylee and I worked in the Pirates Cove cleaning until around 7:00 P.M. Buccaneer clothing can be purchased in the cove. Some Sumer activities that I like to do or achieve for the school break are having fun with my friends and family and play. On really hot days we go down to the lake and play in the water or go fishing. I also like to play with my dog and go for walks with her if I'm not dragging her all the way there and back. Sometimes I do work with my dad most of the times it involves a lot of elbow grease. I love to do fun activities with my mom that does relate a little work, at the end she gets us a treat. On the days I'm not doing anything I go out with friends or they come to my house, and if I'm good we go to get air, other wise, we just watch movies and relax. On other days when we are in the garden I like to swim, maybe even play with the sprinklers and bother my brothers.…

When I applied for the Quinlan Ramble to Seattle my freshman year, I had no idea of what the trip would be like. I had no expectations, and honestly as a freshman I just thought it would be a great way of spending my first Spring Break in America. However, upon meeting the people I traveled with, I knew it wouldn’t just be another school trip. We connected from the very beginning, forming a strong bond. During the trip, we were all very dedicated to get an insider perspective of the real business world. Outstanding business professionals, probably the best ones in their industries, welcomed us in such a friendly manner. I’m confident enough to say that we learned things with these professionals that we would never had the chance to learn in…
