The Military Battle of Waterloo.
The Battle of Waterloo, fought on June 18, 1815, was Napoleon Bonaparte's last battle. "On 13 March 1815, six days before Napoleon reached Paris, the powers at the Congress of Vienna declared him an outlaw. Four days later, the United Kingdom, Russia, Austria, and Prussia mobilized armies to defeat Napoleon. Critically outnumbered, Napoleon knew that once his attempts at dissuading one or more of the Seventh Coalition allies from invading France had failed, his only chance of remaining in power was to attack before the coalition mobilized." This battle is very interesting to me, it has a lot to do with world history. If Napoleon actually won this battle, it is quite possible that most of the current world today would speak French. This battle is a huge turn in today's worlds of tactics as well as a historical point in what could've affected the modern day world. This battle reminds me of the battle in The Lord of The Rings. Swords flying and Orcs screaming or in Napoleons case, bullets and the sounds of dying men. Going farther into the movie, Gandalf comes and flanks all of the orcs and starts slaughtering. This movie is a complete comparison with the battle of Waterloo. When Napoleon was flanked by Gerhard Leberevht von Blücher, he lost all command of his troops and mass casualties occurred. When Napoleon realized what happened, it was to late. Almost all of his men were defeated. He had walked right into an ambush . This
