Why Should I Take Advanced Level Classes

As a senior applying for college and looking for scholarships, I wish I had known then what I know now, Don’t wait to the last minute to do everything that you could’ve done early on. Find a club or sport that you like and participate in it, don’t goof off in your classes and take advanced level classes that will challenge you because those classes are only going to get harder as your high school career goes by. Taking the advanced level classes that is provided to you by the school that you go to will help you be better prepared not only for the classes that you will take in college but also for the challenges that you will face as you progress on in your high school career. It’s never too early to start looking at potential colleges that
you might want to go to and to do the required work that it takes to get into the college of your dreams. Stop trying to fit in or to impress people that you probably will never see again until your ten year high school reunion, high school’s hard enough without having to worry about those insignificant issues. Not saying that your academics should be the only thing that you worry about in high school but it should be your first priority. Don’t try to put it off thinking that your grades won’t matter until your sophomore or junior year, everything starts your freshmen year. My little sister will be a freshmen soon and I keep telling her to take classes that will challenge her and that if she ever needs help to ask me because I have taken those type of classes before.
