Furthermore, most teenagers are not mature.
Doctors say about 50% of teens get into car accidents. Some teens forget to put on a seatbelt, drink or take alcohol, text while driving, and speed. Driving is all about safety, some teens do not even care. Teenagers should take this seriously, driving is very dangerous. “Intense focus on teens diverts our attention from the real threats to public safety speeding and driving while intoxicated.” said Karen Sternheimer. Well, teens are the reason why we have these threats. Teens are immature; they should not be driving yet. Teens should drive when they are eighteen. They should drive when they are young responsible
adults.
In addition, some teens have a lack of experience on driving. Teens should be eighteen when they drive because when they are younger they barely have any experience. Teenagers should learn at the age of sixteen and get behind the wheel at the age of eighteen. Therefore, they have done a lot of training. Driving is, after all, a skill like any other; it is not mastered until you get it right. One mistake from a young teen can cause a life from an innocent person. Young teens barely have any training, therefore they might cause accidents. Teens should be eighteen to drive when their mind is full of experience and training. They should train until they have no mistakes at all.
In other words, I believe that the legal driving age should be raised to eighteen because teen are immature; they have a lack of experience, and have no reason to be driving. Teens should drive at the age of eighteen when they have a reason to be driving, when they have more experience in driving, and when they are responsible young adults. So now do you think that the legal driving age should be raised eighteen too?
