his/her country, promises to keep their people safe of danger. After what the world had seen, a huge impact on the future was made. Today, countries are constantly trying to make explosives an advantage just in case major conflicts are caused, for example, North Korea “has fired 21 missiles during 14 tests since February, further perfecting its technology with each launch” ("The Atomic Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki"). Secondly, Adolf Hitler committed suicide on April 30, 1945 (Nelson, "World War II History: WW2 Timeline for Kids").
Adolf Hitler's death was a very significant event that occurred in history, because he was known for doing lots of negative things. Adolf Hitler killed a whopping number of people. He also had lots of power and control not only over tons of people, but over Germany (Nelson, "World War II History: WW2 Timeline for Kids"). During the World War, Hitler knew that Germany wasn’t going to be successful and then shot himself. Who knows what today, during modern history, would be like? What would have happened to Germany? What would have happened if Hitler's death didn’t play out as it did? What if Germany caused more damage and changed the plot of World War II? World War II could have continued till today, if anything. This is why Adolf Hitler’s death was an important checkpoint, not only to world War II, but to all of
history. A third key event that occurred during World War II, was the surrenderance of Germany to the Soviets (Nelson, "World War II History: WW2 Timeline for Kids"). Lots of countries surrendered or plenty of them lost control over themselves, so why is the surrenedurace of Germany so important? Well, after Germany surrendered and World War II had just finished, the Cold War had started. The Cold War consisted of three major stages. “In 1946, Eastern Europe was under Soviet control. Europe was divided into a West (United States and other countries) bloc and East, which consisted of the Soviet Union, bloc”(Ulli, "Germany During the Cold War "). The first stage of the Cold War was, after the United States and other countries such as France and Great Britain, combined their sectors of Berlin, Germany, the Soviets had complained that Berlin was in their territory, so the Soviet Union attempted to blockade Berlin because they were upset about what was done (History.com Staff, "Berlin Blockade"). This was known as the Berlin Blockade. The second stage of the Cold War, was the Berlin Airlift. With all of transportation passages blocked off, “the United States and Britain immediately, with help of France, organized a massive airlift to feed and supply West Berlin” ("Berlin Airlift"). The last stage of the Cold War was the destruction of the Berlin Wall. The Berlin wall was built to keep people from coming in and out. The Berlin Wall was highly secured. It had 79 miles of two barbed wire fences, nearly 300 watchtowers, and more than 250 gaurd dogs ran around ("Deconstructing History: Berlin Wall"). This is all very important because not only were the first care packages delivered in this time, but major conflict continued even after World War II. To cap everything off, World War II is the most important event in history. Major events occurred that could have changed the future and did change the future such as, the first atomic bombs being used, Adolf Hitler’s death, and Germany’s surrender to the Soviet Union. In fact World War II had such a big impact, that there may even be a World War III.
