Why We Should Not Be Child Soldiers

Everyday children are being forced to be a child soldier, is your child next? Imagine your child having to get high off of cane juice and gunpowder. These boys and girls, some as young as 8 years old, serve in government forces and armed groups. They may fight on the front lines, participate in suicide missions, and act as spies, messengers, or lookouts. Child soldiers are being taken from their families and relocated in Uganda and Somalia. Although people may think it is just a recent event, it has been going on since 1945.
Child soldiers are being prosecuted for killing many people and have been apart of wars. Some people believe that they should pay for what they have done. However, child soldiers do not chose to do bad things, therefore, they should be given amnesty.
Amnesty is an official pardon for people who have been convicted of political offenses. For instance, amnesty is forgiving acts child soldiers have attempted. These children are not responsible for the war crimes they are committing. “Children are often forced into fighting and have little choice over whether or not they enlist”(debatewise).
Amnesty should be given when child soldiers are being enrolled into amend services with no control. Others say child soldiers should not be given amnesty because child

A main problem with child soldiers is that adults are bringing children into war that don't need to be apart of it. Children have nothing to do with war, so why bring them into it?
