It is a strong disagreement between two parties for certain topics. As we know there may occurs conflict everywhere such as in doctor office, home, political parties and even in within person. Since, conflict can happen everywhere, it is important to think about how does conflict happen. I believe, conflict happen when people take stand with their moral and values much better than other. For example, in hospital many doctor think they are super smart and they do not listen to their co-workers. This will lead to the conflict between doctors and other employees which affect hospital caring system. Conflict isn’t negative always, it also happens for positive. In my perspective, if the conflict happens, we come up with better solution for various problems. I take conflict as more positive because not everyone shares similar moral and values.…

Conflict is defined as the consequence of real or perceived differences in mutually exclusive goals, values, ideas, attitudes, beliefs, feelings, or actions (a) within one individual (intrapersonal conflict), (b) between two or more individuals (interpersonal conflict), (c) within one group (intragroup conflict), or (d) between two or more groups (intergroup conflict). Conflict is dynamic. It can be positive or negative, healthy or dysfunctional (Sullivan 2013, 2009). According to Thomas (1992) conflict is “the process that begins when one party perceives that the other party has negatively affected, or is about to negatively affect, something that he or she cares about” (p. 653). Far from it, conflict is also constructive, as it can be catalytic to new ideas, progress and positive change and growth (Rahim 1986, White…

Terminal 5 was proposed by the BAA to increase the capacity of the airport, to hold more planes and passengers. The number of aeroplane users in Heathrow is steadily increasing, reaching about 68 million in 2008 and is the 3rd busiest airport in the world. The expansions will decrease the traffic caused by the passengers and also reduce the airway traffic by around 45%. BAA also proposed that they will build public transport links to reduce traffic. This will allow smoother transitions and decrease the number of delays. Moreover, it will also allow the UK to ‘keep’ up with the European competition and also provide large business areas. However, the turnaround of the development was not very great, it costs £12 billion and the return is £17 billion over a period of 70 years. This is very likely that it will set the UK government back due to the large investment.…

Luckily, there is now a 10-15 year redevelopment plan through a public-private partnership, with mixed income. The plan is to redesign the community in the new urbanist style, with sustainability. Ridding of the previous poor design, the new layout of the community will return to the original street grid and will have more density. Redevelopment plans not only include buildings and infrastructure, but social issues as well. Recently, some revenue taken from the construction of the Trump towers went towards building new pool facilities for the Regent Park neighbourhood. As well, the redevelopment of Regent Park will allow for a better sense of community and safety, and it will have better accessibility to the city.…

The high plateau of the Upper Ewaso Ngiro North Basin in Kenya and the mountain foot zones referred to as the “White Highlands” during the colonial period consisted of ranches and large farms. After independence in 1964, the basin experienced changes in land use as land was subdivided into smaller plots for agro pastoralists as people resettled from overpopulated foot zone areas. As a result, growth points such as towns and densely populated small scale farms as well as with large scale technical horticulture farms have been formed in the mountain foot zones while game parks and tourist resort centres occupy the dry lowlands of the basin. The population increased from 50,000 in 1960 to 500,000 in 2000 and has put demand for water resources under pressure (Kiteme and Gikonyo 2002). As more land is being converted to irrigate land to grow crops mainly for international markets, farmers now place their water intakes high up on the…
