stimulation, and even dentistry. Now, I was exposed to biomedical engineering not too long ago. I took part of an online conference with Kyle Edmunds, an Alumni of UW-Madison and now a doctoral candidate in Europe. Mr. Edmunds helped me narrow my search by introducing me to the newer science of tissue engineering. While trying to figure out which path of science I would travel, both my mother and my high school math department influenced my decisions. Growing up my mother was a chemistry teacher and she was the origin of my appreciation for science. We conducted minute experiments at home and she taught me common laws of science through demonstrations. Even more so entering high school, I knew it was crucial to understand science and math to pursue a career in biomedicine, but I struggled slightly with math. Thanks to my patient and creative teachers I was able to build up my math confidence which is ideal for any STEM career.
