In the book the story as I said is fascinating. The first part talks about the story from the viewpoint of a boy who is criticized, started at, and bullied because of the way he looks. This was different from the others because it wasn’t a reaction from the victim nor a reaction from an innocent or guilty person (the way I see it). Although this character was disrespectful and knew the boy from some time ago, his reaction was different. There was no specific reason why this person changed and went back and forth from good to bad, but my inference is that it was because of the state he was in now he didn’t want to change. Before the boy (victim) came to the school (which is where most of the story’s setting where it involved this character was) this character was respected, had fun and enjoyed it. In the beginning of the school year, he was chosen to “befriend” the new kid (victim). He has met him earlier in his life and he didn’t like the way he looked, the kid is deformed, ugly and gross he had said. Later on, he realizes all the trouble the new kid might face so he finally does it. After time passes he misses his old life and hangouts with his old friends in which he told them that he was forced to “befriend” the new
