The Islam religion does believe that Allah created mankind, however based off of some of the text in the Qur’an it can be alleged that the Islamic worldview accepts theistic evolution as part of their creation account. Muslims believe that animals can praise Allah, but not in the same fashion as mankind. Islam believes it is prohibited to abuse animals; on the other hand there is no restrictions on eating animals. In contrast to the Islam beliefs, the biblical Christian worldview believes that God alone uniquely created mankind in his likeness to rule over the animals and to take care of his earth (Genesis 5:1). …show more content…
Muslims believe that mankind’s purpose is to live out Allah’s will.
The Islamic worldview believes Judaism and Christianity had truth at a point in time and now the Bible is corrupted. Muslims believed that Allah used the Angel Gabriel to reveal Islam’s sacred text to their Prophet Muhammed. Allah’s will is for mankind to obey the teachings of the Qur’an and to know that Allah is one. In total disagreement with the Islamic worldview, Christian’s believe that the Bible is the inerrant word of God. The biblical worldview believes that mankind’s purpose is to have an intimate and personal relationship with God and to glorify the Father, the Son, and the Holy
Ghost.
In the Islamic worldview, by studying the sacred texts of the Islam religion known as the Qur’an and the Hadith a Muslim lives a moral life. By obeying the teachings and following the Five Pillars of Islam one lives a moral life before Allah. Islam is a works based religion; the measurement of good deeds out weighing the bad deeds is the basis of Allah’s decision to allow a Muslim into paradise consequent to death. The Christian worldview differs in this category as God places his moral law in each and every person’s heart and mind. The moral law is the basis in which we determine what is right and what is wrong. Good works are the evidence of salvation, and cannot be earned because it is freely given to us by God’s grace. Christian’s believe that mankind was separated from God when Adam disobeyed God’s law in the Garden of Eden. God the Father gracefully provided a way for mankind to reconcile this relationship with him through believing in his son, Jesus Christ who was sent by the Father, and sacrificially died for our sins, and resurrected on the third day.
The Islamic worldview believes in life after death and that there are two eternal states. The two eternal states are defined as paradise and hell. One may attain paradise by performing more good deeds than bad. Eternal punishment in hell would be based off of one’s bad deeds exceeding their good deeds as well as one not accepting the oneness of Allah. Some Muslim’s believe there are different levels to hell, based on a person’s conduct and beliefs. The Christian worldview also believes in two eternal states, one called heaven and the other hell. The righteous will go to heaven and the wicked will be subjected to hell. Christians believe that depending on your personal decisions and your affiliation with God it will determine the outcome in which God chooses for your eternity.
