Would You Have Ever Learned To Stand Up?
Would you have ever learned to stand up? How about learn to walk, trying to keep your balance at the age of 1 or learn talking? (How difficult and challenging is that?) And how about learning to count at least up to 10? From then on, would you have learned your operational signs? (+,-,×,÷). Would you have learned your time tables, the time, dates, being able to read the calendar? Try thinking of how you would have built your knowledge of Factorisation Methods, Surds, Exponents- and now, you are ready for Grade 12 Mathematics! Would you have ever learned to tackle challenging numerical problems and being able to sharpen your skill of scratching your head during an exam, to possibly get the answer out of there? Consider this: you can now do Calculus, Polynomial Division, Double Angles, Trigonometry and Geometry. If you are lucky enough, you might specialise in Mathematics, be a professor and ending up being a Mathematician. This may be the longest introduction you have ever heard, but the main point is: ”It doesn’t matter how slow you go, as long as you don’t stop.” …show more content…
Some of us are aiming to have that trimmed yet well-trained body like Beyoncé’s. But you would not get it if you continue eating at least 4 Lunch Bars each day like I do or continue drinking Coke every second half of the day like Mrs Rodrigues. When you start exercising , you are not going to be the fastest runner of St. Catherine’s. But that does not matter! What does matter is that you are achieving a goal by taking an important step to improve your health and that is a huge accomplishment. Take pride in the fact that you are taking your life into your own hands, no matter what pace you are

After a twelve-hour work day, rushing home to the kids and to cook supper, is there ever any time to exercise? The benefits of exercise strongly outweigh the reasons to sit on the couch and eat potato chips. Most of our population is not only obese but out of shape. If a person is five feet four inches and two hundred pounds does not mean they are out of shape. They may not be in their average suggested weight, but if their muscle percentage is more than their fat, then they are above most of the population. Muscle weighs more than fat, so gaining muscle means gaining healthy weight. Exercise is addicting and fun, once you see the results, it is hard to stop. Even though we have such busy lives, finding time to make ourselves healthy is important.…

I remember that mathematics is a discipline where the concepts are presented in a cumulative sequence, ie each new concept makes use of other concepts presented earlier. Therefore, one can not learn the multiplication or division if did not learned addition and subtraction before. Someone can not learn exponents if he/she does not know how to multiply, and so on.…

In the inaugural post for this blog, I want to start by covering the simple philosophy I have followed my entire life. If you set your mind to it, you can accomplish anything. Although this theory applies to everything we might encounter throughout life, it is my belief that it is particularly relevant in the fitness world. Whatever your mind set has been in the past, abandon it for the notion that you can do whatever you are willing to work for.…

In my opinion there are many different types or kinds of strong feelings, from hate to anger and romance to love. Shakespeare has and always will be one of the greatest writers of all time at expressing these types of feelings. Shakespeare portrays these in many different poetic styles and genres, for example in his sonnets. However he is also known for expressing his feelings towards love in over 30 of his plays through the genres of romantic comedy and tragedy.…

I never came kindly to the subject of Math. Math was always about constant rote memorization, full of extensive redundant notes that always found their way stuffed into the folds of my notebook never to be seen again. I held onto this impression the entire duration of ninth grade. However, upon a simple happenstance of acquiring the right math teacher with a different approach to math, I became increasingly aware of my previous errors in thinking. Everything was not as unyielding and tedious as I thought it was. Experiencing a teacher with a powerful new perspective altered my rigid frame of thinking, allowing me to excel in math.…

    • 10 Pages

This deals with athletes who are physically challenged with fat and slowness with running. All athletes should take this quote and run with it literally. It is understandable that you need the running and healthy eating but you have to motivate yourself into doing the work you can not just say i'm going to me like that, you have to be willing to put the work iiin yourself by being self committed and have a positive attitude toward everything. Studies show that a positive attitude toward something that you want to accomplish happens faster. Another thing is that the people you hang around also contribute to working towards your goals. Traditionally a workout schedule goes as such workdays monday through thursdays and on fridays you do aerobics or yoga or just stretch. This particular workout deals with muscle endurance and it deals with aerobics(yoga). Aerobics is the strength training which cause your body to act in way that it is getting stretched out. It consumes oxygen and brings the body under to calm and make you flexible. This manages fat and makes it come in instead of protruding. While weight lifting cause you to protrude and makes you bigger versus smaller. Weight lifting does not contribute to the weight loss factor of losing mass and gaining strength or flexibility. Weight lifting is not contributing to losing weight especially when you want to look like a stick and train like a…

I thought my birth year was special all because of my birthday? After all these years I’ve never realized other important events that had happened on my birth year. There are so many interesting events that had happened on my birthday. It was very hard to choose from many interesting subjects such as sports, movies, and actors/actress. My decision that I chose was to do a combination and pick 3 of the most interesting subjects that happened during the year of 1994. At first I wanted to do events on my exact birthday September 23, 1994, but they did not have very interesting events so I had the choice of doing events on the year of 1994.…

“Running is a great way to exercise.” This was said by Jensen Orlow who is a college runner at South Dakota State University. Running has always been a very popular form of exercising. Some people run just for the joy of it and other people run for the great benefits that it provides. Given the increase in obesity in Americans over the past forty years, running is the perfect solution. It helps with losing weight and keeping that weight off. Running also helps psychologically and improves a person’s cardio. Running is a great form of exercise because it helps people control their weight, prevents heart attacks and strengthens the cardio system, improves mental fitness, and is enjoyable.…
