Wounded Warrior Project Case Study

I really enjoyed reading your discussion board on the Wounded Warrior Project. The Wounded Warrior Project helps a lot of our military vets when they come home after serving their country in the military. Because a lot of times some vets can come back and not have a strong support structure waiting for them when they arrive. The organization not only helps the wounded veterans when they return but also to the family. You bring up some very good concepts that are important to the organization such as resource dependency, which is important because most of their funds are through private donations. And also having a cohesive board of directors and choosing proper board members. I think another good concept that could be added to the
list would be focus on mission. Which is to lend an extended hand to encourage our returning veterans as they adjust to a new way of life. This is done through a variety of programs and services funded by donations and volunteers along with raising awareness to the civilian population. “The mission is the nonprofit’s reason for existence.” (Worth, 2014 pg.111). They truly show the veterans, that they have not been forgotten for their service and sacrifice. God would want us to do our part, and help others in need and going through hardship. We should not forget those or their families who have sacrificed to preserve this great nation. Isaiah 41:10 states “ Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
