Writing Class Reflection Paper
This writing class is actually not my first English class at HBU. I took this class as an elective to help me grow in my writing. My expectations for this class meet them all. I came into this class wanting to review all the tools from English class back in elementary, middle, and highs school. Then by reviewing those tools to imply them to college assignments. Even though it was hard to change some of my techniques because unfortunately I did not learn them well the first time.

A very useful skill that I learned in this class is the outline. Going back and reading some of my old essays from last semester, the importance of pre writing and mainly the outline is very important. My old essays were really out of order and does not flow, so by forcing myself to make an outline makes my essay much better than it was before. Therefore, for now on I will be doing an outline and other pre writing tools to help improve the message of

To be honest, I wrote the first things down just to complete the assignment, but actually some did come true ironically. Even though I know that I will not fail this class but getting stuck in traffic did happen and having more important classes to focus on than this class. Back to the week of the flood, I was stuck in traffic and was not able to make it to class. Then the other one was not focusing so much on my cause/effect essay because I had this huge long essay for Honors to focus more and just not put a lot of effort to this class. Even though these unexpected things did happen, yet these things did not bring down but made me stronger. These inferencing helped me to trust more the professor and a lot of time of

I learned two major things about my writing skills during this class. First, when presenting an essay for peer review, make sure that it is not a very rough draft. Second, the types of essay styles can change easily when writing. Even though my paper is supposed to be expository, using certain words and tone can create a totally different essay style.…

By using this I have discovered what my goals and dreams are. I wanted to pass this class and go on to college but that's not going to happen if I fail english. I realized that all that busy work she was giving us wasn't actually busy work. She showing us how hard it can be in college and most of the material now that I come to think of it helped me with everything I did in that class whether it was vocab or learning to write a better thesis statement. My goal for that class was to pass with an 80 or high by the end of each marking period and to not slack on all my work and to do it well and on time. Now I actually do my work ahead of time so that I don't forget and I have time to go back and look over it and sometimes I have a little free time to myself. My current grade in my CCC English 102 is an 89 and so far i've been doing things days before they are actually do so I make sure it's…

Arguably the most important skill that I have learned is that it is essential to plan my essays. Prior to this class, I would just write all of my thoughts down without creating an outline. After that, I would just briefly proofread my essay and that was my final copy. Now, I make sure I spend a decent amount of time on an outline and make it incredibly detailed so that my thoughts are all in line with each other and overall, the essay makes sense. Then, I will read over my rough draft multiple times and have other people proofread it as well, just to make sure that it makes sense and is as clear as it can be. My papers went from taking less than an hour to write to taking 2 or 3 hours at the least.…

When the semester began I thought to my knowledge that my writing was that of good quality. Though I had a good basic understanding of the format of an essay or letter I still had a lot to learn. My writing changed in many ways such as learning to eliminate unnecessary wording in my thesis, the use of synonyms, analyzing quotes and writing abstract to concrete thoughts or ideas. This Class not only helped enhance my writing abilities but to also better evaluate the writings of others and forced me to acknowledge the rigorous work of future courses in college.…

When I started this class, I believe I had strong writing skills, and now I believe these skills have strengthened, making me a more conscious writer. Before this class, I have not focused on aspects such as sentence length and specific words that I am using. Instead, I simply wrote and worked on proper grammar. My essay writing skills have definitely improved throughout this class simply due to the fact that I spend more time writing my essays. Now that I have mastered more skills, I can utilize them in every essay from here on out. While I know that I still have room to improve, I am pleased by my progress and I feel more confident about my writing. I have always enjoyed writing essays, but this class has helped me more fully understand the complexities of writing an essay. Previously, most essays I have written have been standard for English classes, and…

A reflection paper probably will be further clarified by the teacher or professor who assigns it to you. However, for the most part, a reflection paper cites your reactions, feelings and analysis of an experience in a more personal way than in a formal research or analytical essay.…
