A very useful skill that I learned in this class is the outline. Going back and reading some of my old essays from last semester, the importance of pre writing and mainly the outline is very important. My old essays were really out of order and does not flow, so by forcing myself to make an outline makes my essay much better than it was before. Therefore, for now on I will be doing an outline and other pre writing tools to help improve the message of …show more content…
my future papers. Speaking of my favorite activity that I enjoyed doing was the rubric. Even thought it was very stressful to make everyone in my group to collaborate, but the part of eating the cookies was very fun! As well another activity that I loved doing and it was one of my “triumphs” was the work cited. I absolute love puzzles and that activity did indeed helped me better understand the importance of work cited! Finally, the work that I am the most proud of was my argument paper. I am so proud of that paper because I got to use of my tools into place and made Professor Brown get emotional. The day that I went to talk to her about the essay for feedback, I realized that my message did touch the heart of Professor Brown. Therefore, knowing that my essay moved someone made the proudest thing that I have ever done in that class.
Thinking back to my pre- mortem assignment some things that I listed was thinking that I know everything and having no room for improvement; Thinking that I have more important classes to focus on than English 1301; and being stuck in traffic and not getting to class on time, therefore missing important information.
To be honest, I wrote the first things down just to complete the assignment, but actually some did come true ironically. Even though I know that I will not fail this class but getting stuck in traffic did happen and having more important classes to focus on than this class. Back to the week of the flood, I was stuck in traffic and was not able to make it to class. Then the other one was not focusing so much on my cause/effect essay because I had this huge long essay for Honors to focus more and just not put a lot of effort to this class. Even though these unexpected things did happen, yet these things did not bring down but made me stronger. These inferencing helped me to trust more the professor and a lot of time of
management.
Honestly, I believe that everyone should take this course. By taking a test to see where writing ability is not the best thing, and making people take this course can help many students to improve their writing. My Honors writing professor said to me that writing is hard and there no such thing as perfect writing. By taking this course it has confirmed his saying, meaning that there is always room for improvement. By improving your writing, a student must remember the basics. In this class the best evidence that I can them is to do all the tools on time. Each tool helps get a better understanding of the lesson. If that is too much, than just do the vocab! The vocab really help me to writing more professional and has expanded my mind!
