Introduction:
I can’t believe after all these years, I got to hear my long-lost friend Adeline’s voice again. When the telephone rang yesterday, I was sure that it would be Gran but to hear Adeline is doing so well, I mean university…. wow! I am so glad that she got away from her terrible abusive family. I just wish that there was something that I could've done!
Event 1: (When Adeline was walking to school)
Adeline and I were very good friends and anytime we played doubles in ping pong or badminton, we would always pair up together. I found out that she loved to read as much as I did, so I would lend her some of my children’s books and she would help me with my arithmetic. I should of saw how she was suffering that morning when I caught her struggling to get to school, but I didn’t think anything of it when she said she enjoyed walking. A couple of weeks later, it was raining very hard and all the streets were flooded. I rang for my Father to come and get me but on our way home, we saw Adeline tackling the forceful wind and rain. In September, after the summer holidays, I was basically pleading for Adeline to come to my birthday party, which is why I was so excited when Mrs Wong told us that the following Tuesday would be a special holiday. On the day of my party, I got ready early and waited at school for Adeline with my chauffer. All morning we played with dolls, and shooting basketballs and it was all going perfectly until my maid came out to serve lunch and Adeline suddenly whispered to me that she needed to leave.
