that values using an organizational chart to help their company grow and to keep their employees organized. Most people know who Walmart is because of their low everyday price guarantee. Walmart started their business in 1962 in Rogers, Arkansas. Walmart started out as one store and evolved in to a multimillion dollar organization. Walmart’s started popping up all over the United States. This could of not of happened if Walmart did not have the right team members or strategic planning. Walmart had to choose which organizational structure was right for the company and implement it.
Walmart created a structure that would help the needs of its employees and the needs of the company. The CEO of Walmart is the overseer of many departments and responsible for many jobs that have to be tackled. The CEO has many jobs within Walmart, and even handles International Affairs that are related to Walmart. Of course the CEO can not do all the work for Walmart and organization of different employees also helps Walmart expand. Different members of Walmart are split by departments and these employees have specific tasks that need to be completed.
Walmart’s ASDA has its very own CEO and this CEO is in charge of the Chief Financial Officer. The CEO also is in charge of the Chief Operations Officer as well. There is also an e-commerce CEo that has an oversight of other employees and departments. The CEO of e-commerce oversees the Chief Technology Officer, the executive Vice President in e-commerce and senior Vice President. There are many different countries that Walmart operates and does business with. This team is able to handle affairs that go on in different countries that Walmart does business with and keeps the organizational structure stable.
Walmart makes sure that it has overseers managing employees tasks, and they make sure that they follow through for completion.
These teams know what the employees tasks are and they use this so they can give them jobs that they are knowledgeable of. This will help the higher team members analyze the employees of lower level, see how they are doing their jobs, and make any adjustments to help Walmart improve the way that they do things. Employee skills are a necessary issue for management to stay on top on. If Walmart did not use the skills of their employees to complete tasks, they may not be the successful company that they are today.
Walmart has many employees and it needs many different overseers to control the company and help it maintain their effectiveness. There are overseers in all departments, from human resources, to financing. Each department has different teams and each team has a job that helps the employees complete the tasks that are assigned. One employee could not keep up with the magnitude of employees that are employed at Walmart. This is why it makes sense for a big corporation like Walmart to assign different tasks to employees according their skills and …show more content…
knowledge.
Walmart implements a vertical organization structure. This allows the Ceo to organize different tasks and then delegate it to the lower employees to get the job done properly. The vertical organization is a good choice for a company like Walmart because it has many employees. Vertical organization would not be good for a smaller company, but has proven successful for a company like Walmart. This structure is helpful for a company to delegate tasks to different employees that have the skills to get the job accomplished.
Walmart’s vertical organizational structure is paying off, especially in the International Sector.
It also has paid off in the e-commerce aspect that Walmart has implemented in their business. Walmart has proven that they can handle the vast demand that it gets from it’s customers each and everyday. Walmart has a big International demand from its customers. In International companies, Walmart is lead by the CEO. There are different jobs within Walmart Internationally, but most of the delegated jobs are handled by the CEO. Walmart also values the opinions of their customers in the United States, and in International stores across the globe. This helps Walmart make better decisions for their future planning so that they satisfy their customers needs.
International Walmart’s still have to follow the same structures as the Walmart’s in the United States. Even though other countries have a different way of doing things, they have to still follow Walmart’s rules. This helps keep the structure of Walmart the same, and this would cause less discrepancies. Walmart has the value of their reputation at hand, and could not allow different rules for stores that are Internationally based. The structure helps Walmart keep all of their stores and employees organized. This helps to eliminate issues that can occur when too many structures are used at
once.
Walmart has a complex layout for each store. This organizational chart helps Walmart’s stay on top of the employee tasks and the competition of each of them. Each store has a head manager and then co-managers. These managers work together to keep the store organized and employees, and customers happy. There are also assistant managers and department managers. These managers work together to delegate tasks to employees and they make sure that the jobs get done right. They evaluate any issues that arise and plan for the future. The employees have managers for the delegation of their tasks and to help if they run into any issues. This organization helps all employees work together and stay on the same pay so all jobs get done daily in an effective and efficient manner.
Walmart is such a complex company. Walmart opened its doors back in 1962. The first store was opened in Rogers, Arkansas. One store turned into many stores and a million dollar corporation. Walmart grew and implemented changes to help their organization not only grow but to form a structure that would give it the stability that it has today. Walmart’s choice of the vertical organization structure has proven successful both in the United States and Internationally. The vertical organization is used in every Walmart, no matter the location. This organizational method has had an enormous effect in the International Walmart stores. The employees are able to work more successfully together and as a team effort. Vertical structure is successful in larger companies, opposed to smaller companies. This structure has helped Walmart thrive in an industry where competition is at its highest. Walmart has proven that if you plan and implement an organizational structure, growth and leadership is a proven success.
