My elementary school had a fundraiser for the victims in Haiti, but it wasn't till much later that I fully understood the magnitude of what it happened. These people had just had everything being you torn away, much like the innocent people placed into concentration camps during the war. These things happen for reasons they might not have known, and most certainly were not able to control. here, it may be argued that in the case of war criminals, concentration camps may have been something commonly enforced at the time, but all the same they had everything they knew torn away from them, Which I find similar to the earthquake victims.
