Due to his timid and not-so-confident demeanor, polite manner of speaking, plus his short stature and prominent hairstyle too, probably, Yuugi had been bullied quite a bit in his younger years. Another reason for his bullying was the fact that he leaned towards playing various games by himself, being the childish boy that he was.
