Race was a huge problem with Zach but he learned to ignore all the controversy about skin color and just lives his own life happily. For example he goes to a school with mostly white people which talk bad about him but he can care less about these racist slurs. He is a very good example of a good role model on feelings towards racism. This race situation really affected many other people from this time period. Back in this time dark skinned people shouldn’t even by near white people, white people hated dark people so when a either one likes each other their own people turn against them.
Zach is looking for a good job as a lawyer, this would be strange at the time because he is dark skinned nobody would want his help. He is a very talented individual with a dream and nothing is stopping him from achieving that. I hope that he goes ahead with this career and becomes a big change in

“Dear Zachary: A Letter to Son about His Father” is a terrific documentary about an old couple, David and Kate Bagby, who faced many challenges and dealt very well with them. The couple’s son, Andrew Bagby is murdered by his psychopathic ex-girlfriend, Shirley Turner. Shortly after Andrew’s death, Shirley announced her pregnancy. After hearing this news, the filmmaker Kurt Kuenne, Bagbys’s good friend creates a documentary to serve as both a memorial to Bagby and an introduction to the father the child would never know. Imagine if you ever had to see your son’s killer: what would you do? Would you be wise as David and Kate Bagby? Would you let grandchild’s custody be given to the murderer of your son? And the most important question is why didn’t the authorities do something? I know I wouldn’t be as wise as David and Kate and drive hours to see my grandchild at my son’s murderer’s house. If I were to physically harm that person, I would and I still wouldn’t be able to do what David and Kate did.…

I strongly agree with the views of Frederick Douglas. The color of anyone’s skin shouldn’t reflect their quality of life. A man, whether he is Asian, black or white, should be treated equally well despite his skin color. Racial equality is being brought to the attention of people everywhere. Although Douglas is focused on Asian-American rights, he is still sort of helping us in a way. I am extremely happy to know that someone the same race as myself is having a strong impact on the white men. Robert Elliot has been elected to the House of Representatives twice and was elected as a delegate to South Carolina’s constitutional convention of 1868. He has fought for the civil rights we should be granted and believed reconstruction had brought them but after the rights were granted to us they were quickly taken…

"No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite." This was said by Nelson Mandela, one of the most influential people in history. Mandela was an inspiring person because of his determination and fight for peace as well as his impact on the country of South Africa. The citizens of his country did not always direct their love or give him the glory he deserved as media may portray in the modern day.…
