I live in St. Louis Missouri in the United States. I actually live in a suburb of St. Louis called St. Peters. It is about a twenty five minute drive to downtown St. Louis. Missouri is the state right in the middle of the United States. There are about six million people living in Missouri, and around 400,000 people living in St. Louis. St. Louis is a very diverse city. We have many people from different cultures from all around the world living here. We have a large international airport. There are many universities that have international students attending. English the language that is spoken in my city, but there are many people that live here that only speak a little English, and some not at all.
St. Louis is a city rich in technology and is growing and developing. Many people from other countries come to live and work here in St. Louis. Once a person from another country can obtain a work permit and a Social Security Card, there are many jobs that one can apply for. It is illegal for companies here not to hire someone based on their race, sex, culture which gives great opportunity for people from other countries who come here for work. In other countries such as Asian countries, it’s difficult for Americans to get jobs there except things like teaching English or they have special talents and are highly qualified.
We have everything anyone would want when it comes to technology. Wireless everything, free wireless cafes where one can go and get on the internet while eating their food. Stores where that day you can go and buy almost everything that is new such as computers, cameras, TV’s, cell phones, etc…
