Have you ever asked yourself how long will love be? Will it be forever or just a few months, years? Have you ever believed in true love which can survive through hardship, selfish and so on? But a Hollywood –style romantic melodrama that delivers major studio satisfactions in an ultra—modern way and is made on the streets of India with largely unknown stars by a British director who never makes the same movie twice can be simple? According to the movie, Jamal first appears in the police station. He’s on the show called “WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE” and has been entered the final telecast. But he’s forced to say why he ---a slumdog who is not well educated ---can make the right choice of all the questions. And then Jamal has to tell the dubious police inspector how he comes to know what he does by telling his life story.
His life is full of struggle,chance, luck and street smarts. Maybe the most important part is his love towards Latika. Based on the same destiny--they were both orphan—Jamal felt pity for her and invited her to join his brother Salim and him.
